Once upon a time, our story began. Like all good stories, their are many interesting characters. The ending is assured, but how the plot thickens and grows and draws us in so that we can not stop turning the pages. We are assured of our eternal lives through Christ Jesus, and we want to be apart of God's great plan, the story he writes. Now what's the plan? Doug and I along with the Spirit have been prayerful about adoption, asking others to pray for us, seeking God's will through scripture, prayer and mature Christians. Our 3 biological children have been involved in the decision resulting in conversations about sharing of rooms and clothing, seating in the vehicles, the frequency or types of vacations we may be able to take, college funding, being a multi-cultural family, and realities of what being an orphan are. As a mother, I have been so moved has I saw Sydney suffer emotionally when she contemplated what it would be like to live in an orphanage, without a family or a future. God certainly is mysterious in the way he shapes us into his image. So May I have YOUR ATTENTION: OUR family is growing in numbers!!!!! We are adding more characters to enrich the plot and to bring more Glory to the ending! We are blessed and thankful to have friends and family, who God gave to us, that we know will be an encouragement through all the times of life, who are there in times of thick and thin. Thank you all for the prayers and support you have offered to and for us.
We are adopting internationally from Colombia, South America and we hope to bring home siblings between 5 an 12 years old. Now look forward to the next page of the story. This chronicle is a record of our life and adoption journey.
